DEputy assistant president
My name is Daniel Huibeom L. , and it is my great pleasure to welcome you to this yearβs Model United Nations conference. Serving as your committee president is a tremendous opportunity and honour, and Iβm eager to participate and witness diverse ideas, meaningful debates, and diplomatic growth that will unfold over the course of this yearβs SEOMUN.
Drawing back to my first-ever SEOMUN experience, I remember I was a timid delegate at the time, and I spent most of my time trying to understand how everything functioned. Since then, MUN has become a space where Iβve grown in confidence, learned how to express my ideas clearly, and developed a genuine interest in global affairs and international issues.
Over the years, Iβve had the privilege of attending several international and domestic conferences in different rolesβfrom delegate to chairβand what Iβve come to value most is the people and the environment. Itβs the conversations, disagreements, bonding, and moments of collaboration that make MUN worthwhile. I hope this committee will be a space where everyone feels encouraged to speak up, challenge certain ideas or assumptions, and engage with both the issues and each other with respect and sincerity.
Iβm super thrilled to see what each of you brings to the table. Whether youβre new to MUN or more experienced, I encourage you to make the most of this opportunityβnot just to debate, but to learn and grow. Letβs make this a memorable and productive conference.
Sincerely,
Daniel Huibeom L.
